Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager  to join our team. 

About the role: 

Based in Christchurch, you will report to the Operations Manager and work closely with Commercial Managers, Site Managers, Design Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and other key project stakeholders. This role will see you take ownership of construction projects from inception through to completion and defects liability, ensuring they meet client, regulatory, and quality requirements. You will lead project teams, manage stakeholders and contracts, monitor programme and budget performance, and drive health, safety, and quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities include

  • Leading project delivery to ensure safety, quality, budget, and programme outcomes are consistently achieved.
  • Building and managing high-performing project teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Managing client, consultant, and subcontractor relationships to deliver excellent service and outcomes.
  • Overseeing contract and commercial management, including variations, claims, procurement, and reporting.
  • Monitoring project progress, costs, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery.
  • Driving quality assurance and health and safety compliance across all aspects of project delivery

About You: 

To thrive in this role, you will be a strong and adaptable leader with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You’ll bring commercial awareness, technical construction knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: 

We are looking for someone with Vertical Commercial Construction experience on projects between $10M to $100M in conjunction with:

  • A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, motivate, and guide teams.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, contracts, programming, and financial management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
