Quantity Surveyor

We are currently seeking an intermediate level Quantity Surveyor to join our high-performing project team, based from a central Auckland location. This role will initially work across projects in both North and South Auckland, as part of a national team. Our ideal candidate will have a solid background in large-scale projects, a strong eye for detail, and be a proactive team player.

As Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for:

• Work closely with other members of the QS team to manage financial performance, cash flow and construction project changes
• Assisting with preparing and finalising tender submissions
• Building and maintaining professional and reciprocal relationships with clients, sub-contractors, consultants and key stakeholders
• In conjunction with the QS team control and manage the project profit margins and maintaining positive cash flows
• Produce supporting documentation and accurate reporting around project financial performances

Skills and experience required:

• Minimum 5 + years relevant industry experience in quantity surveying
• Recognised and relevant professional QS qualification
• Proven problem solving ability and good decision making skills
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Previous commercial construction experience is desirable
• Ability to build good rapport and relationships
