Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are currently seeking Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our high-performing project team working in Auckland. Our ideal candidate will have a solid background in large scale projects, with a strong eye for detail and be a proactive team player. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
- Manage project documentation, prepare financial reports (progress claims, final accounts, labour analysis), and oversee procurement, cash flow, and project changes.
- Establish procurement plans, negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, manage subcontractor payments, and track contract instructions and charges.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensure compliance with contract requirements, monitor financial performance, and approve project expenditure invoices.
- Provide supervision and guidance to intermediate and junior quantity surveyors while upholding Leighs’ leadership values and competency framework.
Skills and experience required:
- Minimum 10 + years relevant industry experience in quantity surveying
- Recognised and relevant professional QS qualification
- Skill in collaborating effectively with others to achieve common goals and maintain a positive team environment.
- Expertise in predicting future expenses and income using financial tools for informed decision-making.
- Knowledge of applying business principles, including market analysis, financial understanding, and risk management, to drive organisational success.
